You are responsible for the maintenance, modification, and servicing of aircraft and aircraft components following the manufacturer's specification and FARS.Essential Duties of The A&P MechanicPerform routine scheduled maintenance and aircraft inspection by ACC's and current manufacturers' specifications.Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Modifies aircraft systems or components following drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize aircraft downtime. Requires ability to travel.Review maintenance records and flight logs to schedule prescribed maintenance checks and overhauls.Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completed.Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.JOB SPECIFICATIONSMinimum Education:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Education:One to two years of technical college/training or equivalentCertifications/Licenses:FAA Airframe and PowerplantMinimum Experience:Up to three to five years or more experiencePreferred Experience:Up to six years or more experienceSkills:Interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of aircraft parts/components.Problem-solving and independent decision-making skillsGood communication skillsExercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.Machine Skills:Operate hand and power toolsCalculator, PC, telephone, and fax machineEnvironmental Conditions:Exposure to weather.
