Data Analyst (Data Modeler – Healthcare Domain)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in data modeling and healthcare domain knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing data strategies, roadmaps, and end-to-end data management and analytics solutions for large healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data modeling strategies for complex healthcare data systems.
• Design and maintain normalized OLTP, OLAP, MDM, and dimensional models, including star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, role-playing dimensions, and hierarchies.
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements including HIPAA, PHI, and PII standards.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to develop data strategy and roadmaps for healthcare entities (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial).
• Perform advanced SQL development, including analytic queries, stored procedures, DDL/DML/DCL, and query optimization.
• Lead initiatives on Data Quality, Data Governance, Metadata Management, MDM, and Data Migration.
• Conduct data profiling and classification to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Erwin Data Modeler or equivalent tools.
• Strong healthcare domain knowledge (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial healthcare datasets).
• Expertise in HIPAA, PHI, PII regulatory requirements and healthcare data security standards.
• Expert-level SQL skills; ability to write and review complex analytic queries to ANSI standards.
• Deep understanding of data management principles including Data Quality, Governance, Security, Metadata, and Archival strategies.
• Strong problem-solving, influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise-level data analytics and management solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Purview, Azure Maps).
• Experience with Snowflake DBMS.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
