STS Technical Services is hiring Dedicated A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics in Detroit, Michigan. Position Summary STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics to support dedicated corporate aviation operations in the Detroit, Michigan area. This is a direct hire opportunity within a high-level flight operation supporting business aircraft. This role operates in a dedicated environment where consistency, precision, and accountability matter. You will work closely with flight crews, OEMs, regulatory authorities, and maintenance teams to ensure aircraft meet strict airworthiness standards. Job Responsibilities Ensure aircraft are maintained in compliance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and company policies Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair corporate aircraft airframes and engines Perform maintenance using technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer data Utilize precision tools and test equipment to measure wear and determine repair requirements Repair or replace defective components and verify system functionality Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and attention to detail Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers Remain on-call as required and adjust to schedule changes to support operational readiness Support additional maintenance-related duties as needed Qualifications Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required Minimum of 5+ years of corporate or business jet airframe experience required Hands-on Gulfstream experience required Experience working in a Part 145 repair station required, Part 135 experience preferred Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Approximately 20% travel required, including potential international travel Inspection Authorization or FCC License is a plus Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach Why This Opportunity Direct hire opportunity within a dedicated corporate aviation environment High level of responsibility supporting premium aircraft operations Stable role with consistent exposure to high-level maintenance work Opportunity to work closely with flight crews and operational leadership About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with leading organizations across aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial sectors.
