Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated District Float Nurse (LPN) to support students throughout a school district in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional who enjoys working in diverse educational environments and providing critical support to students across multiple school sites.

Position Overview

As a District Float Nurse , you will provide nursing services throughout the district, floating between multiple schools as needed to support student health and wellness. You will collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure students receive safe, effective care that enables them to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout multiple schools within the district to provide nursing support as needed
• Deliver direct nursing care to students with a variety of healthcare needs
• Support students with specialized medical needs, including:
  • Tracheostomy (Trach) care
  • Ventilator (Vent) management and monitoring
  • Gastrostomy Tube (G-Tube) feeding and care
• Monitor student health conditions and respond appropriately to medical situations
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
• Maintain accurate health documentation and records
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to help support student success
• Promote student health, safety, and wellness throughout the district

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Missouri required
• Previous experience with:
  • Ventilators
  • Tracheostomies
  • G-Tubes
• School nursing experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and student populations
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
