General Purpose:

Perform a wide range of machine, equipment, and building maintenance, repairs, installations, modifications, and general upkeep operations. Involves millwright, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, and painting procedures.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities that are requirements in order to perform the job:

Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, motors, conveyorsystemsand pneumaticequipment.Preventative maintenance.Maintain plant facilities and physical structuresAssistwith design,fabrication,and installation of new equipmentBasic mechanical skillsAbility to follow written and verbal directions and proceduresSelf- motivatedand works well in a team environment.5S Experience HelpfulComply withall safety, environmental, and quality regulations and requirements follow thePSM/RMP

Supportive Functions: 

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions based on business needs:

During the course of job duties, must be able to prevent / contain chemical spills in order to ensure employee safety and protection of the environment

Education/Experience Guidelines:

High School or GED required1-4years related maintenance experienceExperience working in Manufacturing/Chemical environment preferredDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsAbility to work alone and with team members

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, and up to 100 pounds on rare occasions. 

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. On occasion, the employee will be exposed to wet/humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather, extreme heat/cold (non-weather), toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, working near moving mechanical parts, working in precarious places, and vibration.
